Burnett Lane, Brisbane

An early version of the cylinder type lights developed and built more recently for Wollongong Mall, these lights were intended to chart the life of the street. Movement sensors underneath the primary cylindrical forms would act as a catalyst for hot spots (warm, rich colours) within the light form. A lack of movement and hence activation would allow the lights to morph back through to a cool spectrum array. In this way the lights act as a barometer for the life of the lane.
