Within the fine grained, pedestrian laneway of Llankelly Place, eleven light screens have been inserted. The transparency of the catenary structures, minimise visual clutter and allow the lights to be seen in layers creating a rich spatial effect along the length of the laneway.
Spaced at equal intervals of 12 metres, the colours are laid out in a spectrum sequence from red at the Darlinghurst Road through amber, yellow to green at the Springfield Gardens end. This colour change adds to the spatial ordering of the light ensemble and marks the differing characteristic of each end of the laneway.
