Bundeena additions and alterations

Bundeena additions and alterations by McGregor Westlake Architecture

Some internal options for our Bundeena project. This additions and minor alterations proposal reduces the size of the existing dwelling, setting it back from the rear boundary of more than 10 metres to the living area. To the north and the south elevation all the openings are to be made smaller. To the east and the west, made bigger.

In addition, the ceiling over the main living room is to be lifted in height from 2.4 to 3.3 metres in order to create some spatial relief to the existing ceiling of 2.4 metres and as well to enable the insertion of 2 clerestory windows, which will create cross ventilation and allow northern and western light into the east facing room. Built as brick veneer on a concrete slab, the dwelling currently remains relatively intact, and sits on the ridge overlooking the Royal National Park.
