This alteration and addition to a single dwelling residential home in Boundary Street, Clovelly strategically retained most of the ground level in order to retain historic setbacks that council would no longer allow.

Living areas were designed for the top level, thus enabling most upper rooms to take advantage of north facing views to Waverley Cemetery and South facing views to the ocean and coastline.

All demolished brick work was reused to frame a central two-level entry void, in which a smooth sculptural steel stair was placed. Windows are arranged strategically to ensure the house benefits from the ever-changing light, air and views throughout the day and night.
