Clovelly House

This is a recently finished alteration and addition to a house in Boundary Street, Clovelly. By putting the living areas onto a new level 1, we were able to take advantage of North facing views to Waverley Cemetery and South facing views to the ocean and coastline.

Half of the existing house was retained in order to rebuild on existing smaller setbacks. All demolished brick work was reused to frame a central two level entry void, in which a smooth sculptural steel stair was placed. Windows arranged strategically ensure the house benefits from the ever changing light, air and views throughout the day and night.
