This project involves the upgrade of the busiest shopping street in Eastwood, Rowe Street, one of the most successful “Eat” Streets in the Ryde Municipality. The project is about adding pedestrian amenity and transforming the character of the street with wider footpaths, trees, rain gardens and an integrated furniture suite.

The Art and landscape Projects are melded into one, with a series of Granny Smith Green seats placed within a new rain garden setting to create more relaxed and intimate pedestrian places within the larger space of the street. Whilst Green Park Furniture is an established tradition this use of a particular green remembers the birth place of the Granny Smith Apple.
