Urban Design and Public Space

MWA have completed a range of award winning Public Space, Urban Design and Public Art Projects since 1999.  Complex large scale projects such as the North West Metro, Parramatta Interchange and the Chinatown Lightworks were done with our long term collaborators Hassell Studio. Landscape projects for public parks and squares have been developed in collaboration with other associates including JILA, SMM and 360 degrees. Public art projects are typically indelibly linked to the design collaboration but when required, MWA produce singular artwork projects such as the Mascot bridge columns or the lights at Llankelly Place. Public work is ingrained within the city as a cultural artefact and potential for city-shaping and place-making transformation.
